SEC 기업·공공기관 ESG·WFSRI 평가는 기업·공공기관의 환경·사회·지배구조(ESG)에 관한 주요 요소와 함께 조직의 의사결정과 활동이 환경과 사회, 이해관계자와 공동체, 현재세대와 미래세대에 미치는 영향과 그에 따른 책임을 종합적으로 살펴보는 책임경영 평가제도이다.

The SEC ESG·WFSRI Evaluation for Corporations and Public Institutions is a Responsible Management Evaluation Program that considers key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors together with the impacts of organizational decisions and activities on the environment and society, stakeholders and communities, and present and future generations, as well as the responsibilities arising from those impacts.

SEC는 조직의 현재 수준이나 단기적인 성과에 한정하지 않고 지속가능한 발전을 위한 역량, 변화하는 환경에 대한 대응, 책임 있는 가치창출 및 지속적인 개선 등을 함께 살펴본다.

SEC 기업·공공기관 ESG·WFSRI 평가는 기업·공공기관의 책임경영과 지속가능성 및 미래 경쟁력을 종합적으로 평가하여 조직과 이해관계자가 책임경영 수준과 주요 특성을 이해하는 데 참고할 수 있는 객관적인 평가정보를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

The SEC ESG·WFSRI Evaluation for Corporations and Public Institutions aims to provide objective evaluation information that may assist organizations and stakeholders in understanding Responsible Management performance and key characteristics by comprehensively evaluating Responsible Management, Sustainability, and Future Competitiveness.

평가를 통하여 조직의 책임 있는 의사결정과 경영활동, 지속가능경영의 실천, 사회적 가치와 공공가치의 창출, 미래변화에 대한 대응과 혁신, 장기적인 가치창출 및 지속적인 개선 등에 관한 평가정보를 체계적으로 제공한다.

기업 부문은 코스피(KOSPI)·코스닥(KOSDAQ) 상장기업과 중견기업 등을 대상으로 하며, 평가목적과 공익성·사회적 필요성 및 다양한 이해관계자와 시장에 미치는 영향 등을 고려하여 평가 필요성이 인정되는 기업을 평가대상에 포함할 수 있다.

The corporate sector includes KOSPI- and KOSDAQ-listed companies and mid-sized enterprises and may include other corporations where evaluation is considered appropriate in light of the purpose of the evaluation, public interest, social need, and impacts on diverse stakeholders and markets.

SEC 기업·공공기관 ESG·WFSRI 평가는 정해진 평가기간과 절차에 따라 실시하며, 공개자료·공식자료·법정공시자료 및 기타 객관적으로 확인 가능한 자료와 정보를 활용한다.

The SEC ESG·WFSRI Evaluation for Corporations and Public Institutions is conducted in accordance with established evaluation periods and procedures using publicly available materials, official materials, statutory disclosures, and other objectively verifiable information.

SEC conducts evaluations in accordance with established Evaluation Methodology, Evaluation Criteria, and procedures and applies necessary verification and Factual Review procedures to support the accuracy and Reliability of evaluation results.
