SEC WFSRI Rating은 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)의 평가방법론과 평가체계에 따라 도출된 평가결과를 바탕으로 정해진 기준과 절차에 따라 Rating을 결정·확정하고 관리하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급체계이다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is SEC’s official Responsible Management Rating System under which Ratings are determined, finalized, and managed in accordance with established criteria and procedures based on evaluation results derived through the SEC (Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission) Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework.

 

SEC는 Rating의 객관성과 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 객관적으로 확인·검증할 수 있는 자료와 정보에 근거하여 평가하고, 평가결과의 검증과 사실확인 및 이의신청 등 정해진 절차를 거쳐 Rating을 확정한다.

 

To ensure the objectivity and reliability of Ratings, SEC conducts evaluations based on objectively verifiable data and information and finalizes Ratings through established procedures, including verification of evaluation results, Factual Review, and Appeal.

 

 

 

Ⅰ. 증거기반평가

I. Evidence-Based Evaluation

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 증거기반평가(Evidence-Based Evaluation)를 원칙으로 하며, 객관적으로 확인·검증할 수 있는 자료와 정보를 바탕으로 평가결과를 도출한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating follows the principle of Evidence-Based Evaluation, under which evaluation results are derived from objectively verifiable data and information.

 

평가에는 공개자료를 중심으로 객관적으로 확인할 수 있는 자료를 활용하며, 자료의 출처와 신뢰성, 평가대상과의 관련성 및 평가기준에 대한 적용가능성 등을 검토하여 평가에 반영한다.

 

The evaluation primarily uses publicly available and objectively verifiable information. Data are reflected in the evaluation after consideration of their sources and reliability, relevance to the evaluated organization, and applicability to the evaluation criteria.

 

필요한 경우 평가결과의 정확성과 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 관련 자료를 추가로 확인·검증한다.

 

Where necessary, relevant data are further reviewed and verified to enhance the accuracy and reliability of evaluation results.

 

 

 

Ⅱ. Rating의 결정

II. Rating Determination

 

 

SEC는 해당 평가연도의 평가자료를 수집·분석하고 평가 및 검증을 실시한 후 종합적인 평가결과를 바탕으로 SEC WFSRI Rating을 결정한다.

 

SEC collects and analyzes evaluation data for the relevant evaluation year, conducts evaluation and verification, and determines the SEC WFSRI Rating on the basis of the comprehensive evaluation results.

 

Rating은 특정한 하나의 평가지표나 평가요소 또는 단순한 순위에 따라 결정하지 않으며, SEC 평가방법론과 평가체계에 따라 도출된 전체 평가결과를 종합적으로 반영하여 결정한다.

 

A Rating is not determined by any single evaluation indicator, evaluation factor, or simple ranking. It is determined by comprehensively reflecting the overall evaluation results derived through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework.

 

 

 

Ⅲ. 평가결과의 검증

III. Verification of Evaluation Results

 

 

SEC는 Rating을 확정하기 전에 평가에 반영된 주요 자료와 평가결과의 정확성 및 일관성을 검토하고 필요한 검증절차를 실시한다.

 

Before finalizing a Rating, SEC reviews the accuracy and consistency of key data reflected in the evaluation and the resulting evaluation outcomes and conducts the necessary verification procedures.

 

검증과정에서는 평가기준의 일관된 적용 여부, 평가자료와 평가결과의 정합성 및 Rating 결정에 영향을 미치는 주요 사항 등을 확인한다.

 

The verification process examines the consistent application of evaluation criteria, the alignment between evaluation data and evaluation results, and key matters affecting Rating determination.

 

평가자료 또는 평가결과에 추가적인 확인이 필요한 사항이 있는 경우에는 관련 자료와 근거를 확인하고 그 결과를 최종 평가에 반영한다.

 

Where additional confirmation of evaluation data or results is required, SEC reviews the relevant data and supporting evidence and reflects the findings in the final evaluation.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. 사실확인·이의신청과 Rating 확정

IV. Factual Review, Appeal, and Rating Confirmation

 

 

SEC는 평가결과를 최종 확정하기 전에 정해진 절차에 따라 사실확인 및 이의신청 절차를 운영한다.

 

Before finalizing evaluation results, SEC operates Factual Review and Appeal procedures in accordance with established procedures.

 

사실확인 또는 이의신청 과정에서 객관적인 자료와 근거를 통해 평가결과에 반영할 사항이 확인된 경우에는 이를 검토하여 최종 평가결과에 반영한다.

 

Where objective data and evidence identified through the Factual Review or Appeal process establish matters that need to be reflected in the evaluation results, SEC reviews and incorporates them into the final evaluation results.

 

사실확인 및 이의신청 절차를 완료한 이후 최종 평가결과를 확정하고 이에 따른 SEC WFSRI Rating을 확정한다.

 

Following completion of the Factual Review and Appeal procedures, SEC finalizes the evaluation results and confirms the corresponding SEC WFSRI Rating.

사실확인 및 이의신청의 대상과 방법 및 구체적인 절차는 「ESG·WFSRI 평가」에서 정한 사항에 따른다.

 

The scope, methods, and detailed procedures for Factual Review and Appeal are governed by the provisions established under “ESG·WFSRI Evaluation.”

 

 

 

Ⅴ. Rating 운영의 독립성과 이해상충 관리

V. Independence and Conflict-of-Interest Management in Rating Operations

 

 

SEC는 Rating의 결정과 운영에 독립성(Independence), 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 전문성(Professionalism), 투명성(Transparency) 및 신뢰성(Reliability)의 기본원칙을 적용한다.

 

SEC applies the fundamental principles of Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, Professionalism, Transparency, and Reliability to the determination and operation of Ratings.

 

SEC는 평가대상과의 경제적·사업적 관계가 개별 평가결과 또는 Rating 결정에 부당한 영향을 미치지 않도록 관리한다.

 

SEC manages economic and business relationships with evaluated organizations to prevent them from improperly influencing individual evaluation results or Rating decisions.

 

경제적·사업적 관계의 존재 여부 또는 재정적 기여 여부는 그 자체로 개별 평가결과나 Rating을 유리하거나 불리하게 결정하는 근거가 될 수 없으며, 필요한 경우 업무분리, 정보차단, 제척·회피 등 적절한 이해상충 관리조치를 적용한다.

 

The existence of an economic or business relationship or financial contribution cannot in itself constitute a basis for determining a more favorable or unfavorable evaluation result or Rating. Where necessary, SEC applies appropriate conflict-of-interest management measures, including separation of functions, information barriers, recusal, and avoidance.

 

평가결과 또는 Rating의 유리한 변경을 조건으로 금전적 또는 기타 경제적 이익을 요구하거나 제공받지 않는다.

 

SEC does not request or receive monetary or other economic benefits in exchange for favorable changes to evaluation results or Ratings.

 

 

 

Ⅵ. Rating 운영의 제도적 기반

VI. Regulatory Basis for Rating Operations

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 평가등급 운영, 평가결과 공표, 사실확인, 이의신청, 평가윤리 및 이해상충 방지 등 Rating의 객관성과 신뢰성을 뒷받침하는 관련 규정에 따라 운영한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is operated in accordance with applicable regulations governing rating operations, disclosure of evaluation results, Factual Review, Appeal, evaluation ethics, and conflict-of-interest prevention, thereby supporting the objectivity and reliability of Rating operations.

 

관련 규정은 Rating의 결정과 확정, 평가결과의 검증과 공표 및 평가과정에서 발생할 수 있는 이해상충의 관리 등에 적용한다.

 

These regulations apply to Rating determination and confirmation, verification and disclosure of evaluation results, and the management of conflicts of interest that may arise during the evaluation process.

 

SEC는 관련 규정의 제정·개정과 적용이력을 관리하여 Rating 운영의 일관성과 제도적 신뢰성을 유지한다.

 

SEC manages the enactment, revision, and application history of relevant regulations to maintain consistency and institutional reliability in Rating operations.

 

 

 

Ⅶ. Rating의 확정·공표 및 관리

VII. Rating Confirmation, Disclosure, and Management

 

 

정해진 평가·검증 및 사실확인·이의신청 절차를 완료하여 확정한 Rating은 해당 평가연도의 공식 SEC WFSRI Rating으로 관리한다.

 

A Rating finalized following completion of the established evaluation, verification, Factual Review, and Appeal procedures is managed as the official SEC WFSRI Rating for the relevant evaluation year.

 

공식 확정된 Rating 가운데 공표대상으로 결정된 Rating은 평가결과 공표에 관한 관련 규정에 따라 공개한다.

 

Officially confirmed Ratings designated for publication are disclosed in accordance with applicable regulations governing the disclosure of evaluation results.

 

공개된 Rating은 해당 평가연도와 함께 관리하며, 객관적인 사실오류 등 정정·변경이 필요한 사유가 확인된 경우에는 관련 규정과 정해진 절차에 따라 처리한다.

 

Disclosed Ratings are managed together with the relevant evaluation year. Where an objective factual error or another ground requiring correction or modification is identified, the matter is handled in accordance with applicable regulations and established procedures.

 

 

 

Ⅷ. 평가분석 및 인증제도와의 관계

VIII. Relationship with Evaluation Analysis and Certification

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating과 평가결과는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터에서 수행하는 평가분석의 기초정보로 활용할 수 있다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating and evaluation results may be used as underlying information for evaluation analysis conducted by the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center.

 

평가분석은 Rating을 결정하는 절차 자체가 아니라 확정된 평가결과를 다양한 관점에서 분석하여 그 의미와 특성을 살펴보기 위한 별도의 기능이다.

 

Evaluation analysis is not itself a procedure for determining Ratings. It is a separate function that examines the meaning and characteristics of finalized evaluation results from various analytical perspectives.

 

또한 SEC WFSRI Rating과 별도의 인증제도는 각각의 목적과 기준 및 절차에 따라 구분하여 운영하며, 인증에 관한 구체적인 사항은 「인증제도」에서 정한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating and the separate Certification System are operated independently according to their respective purposes, criteria, and procedures. Specific matters concerning certification are provided under “Certification System.”

 

 

 

Ⅸ. Rating 운영체계의 지속적인 고도화

IX. Continuous Advancement of Rating Operations

 

 

SEC는 평가환경의 변화와 평가체계의 발전, Rating 운영과정에서 확인된 개선 필요사항 및 국제적 정합성 등을 고려하여 SEC WFSRI Rating 운영체계를 지속적으로 검토하고 고도화한다.

 

SEC continuously reviews and advances the SEC WFSRI Rating operation in consideration of changes in the evaluation environment, developments in the evaluation framework, areas for improvement identified through Rating operations, and international alignment.

 

Rating 운영체계의 변경이 필요한 경우에는 정해진 검토와 개정절차를 거쳐 반영하고, 변경사항이 적용되는 평가연도와 적용기준을 명확하게 관리한다.

 

Where changes to Rating operations are required, they are implemented through established review and revision procedures, with clear management of the evaluation year and criteria to which the changes apply.

 

Rating 확정 이후 평가결과의 공개·조회·연도별 관리 및 정정·변경에 관한 사항은 「평가결과」에서 제시한다.

 

Matters concerning the disclosure, access, annual management, correction, and modification of evaluation results following Rating confirmation are presented under “Evaluation Results.”
