SEC WFSRI Rating은 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)의 평가방법론과 평가체계에 따라 도출된 평가결과와 이를 종합하여 산출한 WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI)를 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준을 등급으로 나타내는 공식 평가등급체계이다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is SEC’s official rating system that represents the level of Responsible Management of corporations and public institutions based on evaluation results derived through the SEC (Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission) Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework and the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) calculated by integrating those results.

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 복합적인 평가결과를 정해진 등급체계에 따라 명확하고 이해하기 쉬운 형태로 제시함으로써 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준과 평가결과의 의미를 종합적으로 이해할 수 있도록 한다.

Ⅰ. SEC WFSRI Rating의 목적

I. Purpose of the SEC WFSRI Rating

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 기업 및 공공기관의 현재 성과만을 나타내는 데 그치지 않고, SEC 평가를 통해 확인된 책임경영의 다양한 요소를 종합하여 해당 평가연도의 책임경영 수준을 등급으로 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is intended not merely to represent the current performance of corporations and public institutions but to present their level of Responsible Management for the relevant evaluation year by integrating the various elements of Responsible Management identified through SEC evaluation.

 

평가에서는 조직의 현재 성과뿐만 아니라 지속가능한 발전을 위한 역량, 미래변화에 대한 대응, 책임 있는 가치창출, 혁신역량 및 지속적인 개선 등을 종합적으로 분석하며, Rating은 이러한 종합적인 평가결과를 정해진 기준에 따라 등급으로 나타낸다.

 

The evaluation comprehensively analyzes not only current organizational performance but also capabilities for Sustainable Development, responses to future change, responsible value creation, Innovation Capability, and continuous improvement. The Rating represents these comprehensive evaluation results through ratings determined in accordance with established criteria.

 

이를 통해 평가대상 조직은 자신의 책임경영 수준을 확인할 수 있으며, 다양한 이해관계자는 공개된 Rating을 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 평가결과를 이해하기 위한 참고정보로 활용할 수 있다.

 

This enables evaluated organizations to understand their level of Responsible Management, while various stakeholders may use disclosed Ratings as reference information for understanding the Responsible Management evaluation results of corporations and public institutions.

 

 

 

Ⅱ. WFSRI와 Rating의 관계

II. Relationship between WFSRI and the Rating

 

 

WFSRI와 SEC WFSRI Rating은 서로 밀접하게 연결되어 있지만 동일한 개념은 아니다.

 

The WFSRI and the SEC WFSRI Rating are closely connected but are not the same concept.

 

WFSRI는 SEC 평가방법론과 평가체계를 통해 도출된 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 평가결과를 종합하여 산출하는 종합평가지수(Comprehensive Evaluation Index)이다.

 

The WFSRI is a Comprehensive Evaluation Index derived by integrating Responsible Management evaluation results for corporations and public institutions through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and SEC Evaluation Framework.

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 이러한 평가결과와 WFSRI를 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준을 정해진 등급체계에 따라 나타낸다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating represents the level of Responsible Management of corporations and public institutions within an established rating structure based on these evaluation results and the WFSRI.

 

따라서 WFSRI가 평가결과를 종합적으로 나타내는 지수라면, SEC WFSRI Rating은 그 평가결과를 일정한 기준에 따라 등급으로 표현하여 보다 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 하는 평가등급체계이다.

 

Accordingly, while the WFSRI is an index that comprehensively represents evaluation results, the SEC WFSRI Rating is a rating system that expresses those results through defined rating categories to facilitate more intuitive understanding.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 단순한 점수나 순위가 아니라 SEC의 평가방법론과 평가체계에 따라 도출되고 정해진 절차를 거쳐 확정된 종합적인 책임경영 평가결과를 등급으로 나타낸다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is not merely a numerical score or ranking. It represents comprehensive Responsible Management evaluation results derived through the SEC Evaluation Methodology and Evaluation Framework and finalized through established procedures.

 

따라서 Rating은 특정한 하나의 평가요소만을 기준으로 결정하지 않으며, 조직의 책임경영과 관련하여 평가된 다양한 요소와 그 결과를 종합적으로 반영한다.

 

Accordingly, the Rating is not determined on the basis of any single evaluation factor but comprehensively reflects the various elements evaluated in relation to an organization’s Responsible Management and the resulting evaluation outcomes.

 

Rating은 해당 평가연도의 평가결과를 나타내므로 특정 조직의 미래 성과나 기업가치 또는 경쟁력을 확정하거나 예측하는 지표로 해석하지 않는다.

 

Because the Rating represents evaluation results for the relevant evaluation year, it is not interpreted as an indicator that determines or predicts an organization’s future performance, corporate value, or competitiveness.

 

 

 

Ⅳ. Rating의 기본원칙

SEC WFSRI Rating의 결정과 운영에는 SEC 평가의 기본원칙인 독립성(Independence), 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 전문성(Professionalism), 투명성(Transparency) 및 신뢰성(Reliability)을 적용한다.

 

The determination and operation of the SEC WFSRI Rating are governed by SEC’s fundamental evaluation principles of Independence, Fairness, Objectivity, Professionalism, Transparency, and Reliability.

 

Rating은 특정 이해관계자의 요구나 평가대상과의 경제적·사업적 관계에 따라 결정하지 않으며, 정해진 평가기준과 절차에 따라 확정된 평가결과를 바탕으로 결정한다.

 

The Rating is not determined by the demands of any particular stakeholder or by economic or business relationships with an evaluated organization. It is determined on the basis of evaluation results finalized in accordance with established evaluation criteria and procedures.

SEC는 평가환경의 변화와 평가체계의 발전, 국제적 정합성 및 운영상 필요 등을 고려하여 정해진 절차에 따라 SEC WFSRI Rating의 운영체계를 지속적으로 검토하고 고도화한다.

 

SEC continuously reviews and advances the operation of the SEC WFSRI Rating through established procedures, taking into account changes in the evaluation environment, developments in the evaluation framework, international alignment, and operational requirements.
